H1N1 Swine Flu Information


The H1N1 Swine Flu virus has been spreading rapidly. The effects in the United States do not yet seem to be as severe as some other varieties of influenza, but should be monitored closely.

Medicaid should be a safety net for helping the most vulnerable in our society -- senior citizens and children, but its costs are quickly growing out of control.

As the Representative for District 14, I will work with state leaders to help connect people to the services they are entitled to and support legislation that will help reduce medical costs through safer and less expensive surgical and medical procedures. I also support legislation to limit lawsuit abuse, extreme lawsuit awards, and the over-regulation that raises medical and drug costs to the sick and elderly, and make insurance unaffordable.


Kent Lambert elected Vice Chair of Legislative Epidemic Response Committee


The Legislative Epidemic Response Committee is a statutory joint committee established in 2007 to help plan for the continuity of government and legislative responses to epidemics or bio-terrorism. Rep. Kent Lambert was elected as Vice Chair in May 2009.
